Patriot Act

Despite much uproar and cries that we will be taken away in our sleep, the Patriot Act has been renewed. It was renewed because at the end of the day, despite all that uproar no one could actually point to a gross violation of civil rights occuring as a result of the Patriot Act. And more importantly it helps keep us safe. Its one more brick in the wall to help protect us. Its not the one and only golden bullet to keep us safe, but its a step in the right direction.
