D'oh!
So I was right the first time. He got 58 votes, as I originally predicted. However my final prediction was 61 so that means I will be making a donation of atleast $9 to the USO when I get my next pay check. Probably end up donating more.

Justice Alito
I am upwards revising my prediction for confirmation votes for Judge Alito, to 61. though I won't be shocked if he only gets my original prediction of 58.
So once again, $3 for every vote over or under my prediction of 61 votes, will go to the USO.

Justice Alito
So I am going to run the same bet with Judge Alito that I did when Cheif Justice Roberts went before the firing squad. However, since it is early, and he hasn't gone before the committe this is just my preliminary guess, and I reserve the right to amend my estimate up to 2 days before the confirmation vote. This time around we will be playing for the USO. And as money is tight, it will only be $3 a vote, over or under my guess.
As of January 5th, I am guessing that Judge Alito will be confirmed with a total of 58 votes.
