Chief Justice Roberts "bi-partisan" vote
On Thursday John Roberts was confirmed as the 17th Chief Justice of the United States. He recieved 78 votes. And this was considered a bipartisan vote, a conciliatory vote. What is wrong with us? Even the people who opposed him said he was unquestionably qualified and 78 votes is considered conciliatory? To most conservatives, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would be considered an extremist and she recieved I believe over 90 votes. John Roberts who no one (no one in the mainstream atleast) considered exteme, got 78 votes and this is bipartisan? When did we get so far off track? When did the bias against conservatives get so great that this flies as bipartisan? What has happend to us?
